This album is sort of just about the joy of playing with sound, layering, improvisation and tactility. Almost my most acoustic album? I committed to pop-song track-lengths.

Hyperdyllic includes manipulations of a mini-cassette recording of a Happy Axe live set 16th February 2019 at Rond Terrace. Pith and Rind contain a sample of bass clarinet played by Joel Macbeth. Am I Good? features guitar playing by Lucy Hutchens.

Reuben plays guitars, vocals, cassette tapes and recorders, sine waves, contact mics, no-input mixer, hand-percussion and tabletop objects, field recordings, phone-memos, harmonica, accordion, wooden flute, chimes, meditation balls, unplugged leads, glockenspiel, pots and pans, chromaharp, answering machine...

All tracks except "Braddon 2018" made in 2019, mostly between February and May.
